The Center of Everything by Laura Moriarty

In this compelling YA novel, we follow our main character, Evelyn Bucknow, on the beautiful yet twisted journey that life brings us on. The author of this coming-of-age novel, Laura Moriarty, tells us the story of 2 girls, a boy, a romance that should have been and one that shouldn't have, the hardship of a single mother, and the struggle of life and love and hope. As Evelyn carves her path through adolescence, she realizes that life is more than just good and bad. As the book progresses, Evelyn brings us with her as she realizes slowly yet surely what life is truly about. Many teens will be able to relate to this book as they look around at the high school background of parties, popularity, friendships, and romances. One after another, I believe that you, along with others, will realize that there is more to life than just black and white.
