A Foreword from Our Editor-in-Chiefs
Dear reader,
Winter is often viewed as a period of stagnancy; as the cold firmly settles into the atmosphere, it seems to settle into our lives as well. But winter is more than just low temperatures and fallen leaves—it offers a time of reflection and change. As the tides change and a new year approaches, observance blankets the air. The following pieces explore the intricacies of our theme of “Awareness,” whether it be of the self, of others, or a lack of it altogether. Awareness is more than just knowing yourself or your surroundings and the people in them. Awareness is the essence of life—using that knowledge to drive your interactions and experiences.
Thank you, Editors and Contributors, for your beautiful work, dedication, and assistance in making our Winter Issue possible.
